The making of devotional radio
The goal of this site is rather simple: honor God by presenting His word and hymns accessible to anyone who wishes to listen or read. All hymns were recorded during worship services,
at the Mentor Ohio Church of Christ.
Our site mixes live hymns, spoken scriptures and enviromental sounds of God's creation.
It is a gift to the church: 500+ lines of code lovingly placed in the collection plate!

We use a plain design—dark background, simple text, and no imagery. Why? because the goal isn’t decoration. The goal is to let the message carry the weight, not the presentation.
The structure of hymns, scripture readings, and enviromental sounds follows a very old pattern of worship. First century Christian gatherings centered around reading scripture, prayer and singing. The site is basically trying to recreate that experience in a digital form.

When you visit our site, the webpage counts every file that has been uploaded. It then creates a randomized playlist and starts playing. If you reload the site, a new random playlist will be created. It is designed to be infinitely scalable and can support thousands of hymns.
As we continue attending services, we will continue recording and uploading new material.
